Welcome
to Ballymote golf club website. First of all I wish to thank the club and its members for the honour and opportunity to serve as captain of Ballymote golf club for the year 2010. I sincerely hope that, in co-operation with our President Sean Henry, our lady Captain Breege Scanlon and both committees (men's and ladies) that the interests of the club can be advanced during the year.
Due to the foresight of previous club committees we have an excellent nine hole course which is developed and maintained to the highest standard. The picturesque setting and parkland nature of our course is the envy of many clubs. We have a golf course were both local and distant members can enjoy the absolute freedom to play a game of golf with no queues or tee times required.
During 2010 the club is hoping to expand the number of both local and distant members. For those interested in becoming new members just check out the attractive introductory offers on this website.
During 2010, expansion of the clubs youth development programme is proposed, commencing in early march. The programme will offer young people, both male and female the opportunity to develop golf skills through professional instruction. I firmly believe that the lifeblood of our club is in its youth.
The club would gladly welcome as valued members, both emigrants of Ballymote and descendants of emigrants, from around the world who would like to renew their links and associations with Ballymote. What better way to establish this bond of friendship than through membership of Ballymote golf club.
On behalf of the club I would also welcome members of other clubs and societies from at home and overseas to visit and play the course. The low rates for full-day green fees and also for society outings make a visit an attractive option.
I hope that now you have visited our website you will make time to visit and play our wonderful and challenging course. Finally I sincerely hope that all our members both home and distant, and all our visitors will have an enjoyable year of golf and health and happiness in all other aspects of their lives.
